ITINERARY AND INCLUSIONS
07:30 Complimentary hotel pick-ups commence from Cairns City or Northern Beaches.

08:55 Kuranda Scenic Rail from Freshwater Station to Kuranda (1 hour, 40 minutes)

Completed in 1891 after nine painstaking years of construction this was an engineering feat of tremendous magnitude. Construction teams tackled the jungle and mountains not with bulldozers, jackhammers and other modern equipment, but with strategy, fortitude, hand tools, dynamite, buckets and bare hands.

Climbing 328m into the Barron Gorge National Park the line snakes it’s way through 93 bends and 15 hand-made tunnels, framed by rugged mountains and waterfalls tumbling into deep ravines.

The journey includes a 10 minute stop at great photo opportunity at Barron Falls Station

10:25 Arrive at Kuranda Station.

Take a short walk to the neighbouring Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

10:35 Skyrail Rainforest Cableway Kuranda to Smithfield

Stretching 7.5km (4.7 miles) suspended between 32 towers, this iconic must-do experience in Cairns takes you over and through the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest.

11:35 Skyrail journey ends at the Smithfield Skyrail terminal.

11:40 Complimentary coach transfer to the Nautilus Aviation Heliport to meet your awaiting helicopter!

12:40 Breathtaking 25 minute Reef-Scenic helicopter flight from Cairns to the Outer Great Barrier Reef – rendezvous with the passengers and crew aboard Down Under Cruise & Dive (Hastings Reef).

Prepare to be amazed by the stunning blue and green hues of these pristine coral sea waters and their thriving coral gardens. Your eagle-eyed pilot will share their knowledge of the region while on the lookout for Sea Turtles, Sharks, Manta Rays, Dolphins, Dugong and even majestic Humpback Whales (Jul-Sep). Do not forget your camera!

13:05 Arrive Hastings Reef, lunch

Approximately 1.5 hours snorkelling time at the reef

15:00 Your adventure filled day concludes with a relaxing 90 minute cruise back to Cairns – travel on luxury fast catamaran, Evolution, complete with complimentary cheese, biscuits and glass of wine – the perfect way to end a perfect day!

WHAT TO BRING
We suggest packing a small soft sided bag as if you were going to the beach for the day, including:

Camera (underwater digital cameras available for hire on the boat)
Swimming costume
Hat, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen (SPF 50+ recommended)
A dry change of clothes including a jumper in winter
Cash or Card for any optional purchases
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
HELICOPTERS

All helicopter pricing is per seat, independent of age.
Infants aged 0-2 years can fly free of charge on the lap of a parent or guardian with a maximum of 1 infant per flight (as per CASA regulations).
Passengers 3 years and older must occupy their own seat.
Children under 3 years will only be charged for the helicopter component and travel free of charge on the remainder of the package.
Payload limits apply to all aircraft. Accurate individual passenger body weights are required at time of booking.
Maximum individual seat weight limit of 130kg applies.
DIVING

The minimum age to dive is 12 years with parent/guardian permission.
All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire onboard.
Certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving.
Divers over 65 years old and anyone answering YES to any of the questions on the medical questionnaire will require a recreational dive medical prior to diving. If unsure please contact us prior to travel.
After diving, intervals of 12-24 hours are recommended before you travel to more than 300m (or 1000ft), depending on the number, depths and duration of dives.
