Arrive Auckland on arrival you will be met by your driver who with take you to your accommodation in Auckland.
This morning is a 0900 am departure for your 4 hour Auckland Discovery Tour
We start by picking you up from Auckland CBD; then we head to mission bay waterfront suburb about 5 km east of Auckland CBD. Driving through the scenic Tamaki Drive with unobstructed views of Rangitoto Island
After that, we will take you to MJ Savage Memorial Park, known as “Bastion Point”, which overlooks The Harbour Bridge, Waitemata Harbour, and Auckland City Skyline.
We will also take you to Achilles Point, where you will capture some fantastic photos with Rangitoto Island as your background; Rangitoto Island is the most recent and the largest Volcano in the Hauraki Gulf area.
One Tree Hill, “Maungakiekie”, is another volcanic summit in Auckland City, set at 182-metre (597 ft) & the second largest volcanic field intact in Auckland City. You will enjoy the 360 views of Auckland at One Tree hill summit and learn about the history of the mount.
Our Next Stop will be at Mount Eden Summit. one of the most prominent volcanic cones remaining in the Auckland region, where you’ll be able to see amazing views over the Hauraki Gulf.
Our tour will end, and we will drive back to Auckland CBD for your hotel drop-off.

Take a journey through the heart of the Central North Island, taking in the Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton Movie Set on a full-day sightseeing tour. Setting off from Auckland, travel through the lush farmland of the Waikato and King Country regions, enjoying your driver guide’s entertaining and informative commentary.
At the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves, take a 45-minute guided tour through impressive underground caverns and learn how stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone structures were formed over millions of years. Your tour includes a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto – glide silently along an underground river as you gaze at the twinkling glowworms overhead. After exploring Waitomo, tuck into a delicious picnic lunch en-route to Middle Earth!
Next, take a guided tour of the famous Hobbiton Movie Set, located inside a picturesque 1,250 acre sheep and beef farm near Matamata. Here, the village of Hobbiton was carefully created in amazing detail as a film location for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movie trilogies.
During your guided tour of this amazing location you’ll see sights like Hobbit holes, the Mill and the Green Dragon Inn, and learn how farmland was transformed into a living, breathing piece of Middle-earth.

The moment has come to experience the world-famous TranzAlpine scenic train journey through the Southern Alps, emerging in the West Coast!
On this fantastic escape, you will see epic vistas, soar on the edges of the ice fed Waimakariri River, traverse through the Great Divide, and experience ever-changing landscapes. The natural scenery isn’t the only marvel, though. The TranzAlpine passes through the Otira Tunnel, a true engineering marvel of 100 years!

This morning, you start your West Coast adventure by visiting one of the South Island’s most popular activities– the Treetop Aerial Walkway. This elevated adventure will get you acquainted with the locals – the ancient Rimu and Kamahi trees.
After your sky-high experience, continue south into Glacier Country. Franz Josef Glacier is quite special in that it survives in the warm coastal rainforest temperatures. With a short walk to a viewpoint, you’ll get a fantastic view of the vast valley, as well as a sneak peek of Franz Josef Glacier itself. If you would prefer to get up close, we recommend booking an optional helicopter flight. This will ensure you are getting the best possible view of this natural wonder.
