Originally the Wellard hospital south of Perth, the building was dismantled and sent by boat around the Capes of Western Australia to start its new life in Esperance in 1931 as the Esperance Hospital. When a new hospital was built in the ‘60s it became the Nurses Quarters, and was finally relocated on the beach to be a tearoom’s in the 1980’s. Caringly renovated in 2017 the beautiful Taylor St Quarters
building gracefully emerged as Taylor St Quarters, a family-owned and ran restaurant specialising in contemporary Australian Cuisine.
