What Will You Explore

Sun Pictures
This is the world’s oldest outdoor cinema, having opened in 1916 and survived the ravages of war, cyclones and king tides. Along with the many movies it has screened, it has its own intriguing stories to tell. Although it has today’s modern technology, it still retains the charming nostalgic feel. Sitting on a deck chair under the stars is a brilliant experience in itself – regardless of the movie!

Japanese Cemetery
Many Japanese migrants settled in Broome during the town’s productive pearling industry boom and many of them died as a result. As the largest Japanese Cemetery in Australia, it dates back to 1896. There are over 700 graves, each with a unique headstone crafted from coloured beach rocks. The cemetery is a moving tribute to the lives lost in the early pearling days.

Camels on Cable
Broome’s most iconic experience is a camel ride on Cable Beach. Nowhere else in the world will you take a journey like this! Venture to the shores of Cable Beach and ride on the camel train as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. Morning tours are available.

Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tours
One of the most popular tourist activities in Broome is to experience a Pearl Farm. You can learn first-hand about the industry, a great tour for all ages. Tour guides will show you the process of today’s cultured pearling industry – from the seeding of an oyster, the harvesting and grading of a pearl, through to the final stunning product.

Horizontal Falls
If it’s a truly unique experience you’re craving – come to the only place on earth where you can find Horizontal Waterfalls. An incredible sight from the air and a thrill of a lifetime to ride on; this is one marvel of nature not to be missed. The Horizontal Falls are caused by huge tidal movements forcing masses of seawater through a narrow gap in the high cliff walls.

30 Minute Scenic Helicopter Flight

Be amazed by the incredible colours of the Broome Peninsula on this 30 minute scenic flight!

Departing Broome, your experienced pilot will provide guided commentary as you take in the unique aerial views of Cable Beach flying north towards Willie Creek. Overflying the pearl farm, see the breathtaking colours and patterns formed by the area’s huge tides, and keep an eye out for the creek’s resident saltwater crocs!

Returning south down all 22km of Cable Beach, look out for marine life in the shallow reefs and aqua waters. At Gantheaume Point you’ll get stunning views of the lighthouse and spectacular red cliffs, before flying over Broome Jetty and Roebuck Bay to complete your breathtaking tour!

Full day trip to Montgomery Reef and Horizontal falls from Broome a full fay trip 8 hours *not avail October to March

See the spectacular natural wonder of Montgomery Reef, Australia’s largest inshore reef, without the Kimberley Cruise price tag!

Departing from Broome Airport, you’ll fly fixed wing to Derby where you’ll transfer to helicopter for a spectacular flight across the mud flats and ranges to the jawdropping North Kimberley coastline.

As you fly over Collier Bay and the Kingfisher Islands you’ll see the incredible 300 square kilometre Montgomery Reef emerging from the tide, creating rushing waterfalls and incredible patterns.

On your return flight, fly over the famous Horizontal Falls before landing on the houseboat to join your tour group for lunch and the exhilarating fast boat ride through the falls.
