Resort Room
Available with one king bed or two queen beds, our Resort Rooms are conveniently located close to the central Atrium building. With a spacious 36sqm, these contemporary rooms flourish with relaxed colour tones, offer ample space, and feature tranquil views that spread to the resort and lush garden beds through windows that provide an abundance of natural light. The bathroom contains a shower over the bathtub combination, that is versatile and suits all needs, complete with our Australian–made eco–friendly amenities. The Resort Rooms feature complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, lounge chair with coffee table, office desk, pay movies and a range of additional TV channels are also available for your enjoyment.
Maximum occupancy is for 2 people in a king bedded room or up to 4 people in a twin bedded room. In addition to the maximum occupancy of the room, infants 0-2 years can be accommodated in a baby cot provided on a complimentary basis.

Facing directly out over the ocean towards the Whitsunday Islands, these rooms feature a plush king-size bed and are located on the eastern side of the Driftwood Wing and span the ground, first and second floors. At 36sqm these vibrant light-filled rooms are decorated with relaxed colour tones providing plenty of space which opens out onto a large terrace with outdoor furniture. The bathroom contains a walk–in shower with a high-pressure shower head and complete with our Australian–made eco–friendly amenities. Family Room
Daydream Island is a special place for families, so we’ve made it easy to enjoy. The maximum occupancy of our twin bedded rooms is for up to 4 people plus an infant however we are able to accommodate larger families or those who want more space and privacy by offering a Family Room which consist of two separate rooms with an interconnecting door between the two rooms.
Our interconnecting rooms are available across most of our different room types and with the bedding combinations of a king bed in one room (king room) and two queen beds (twin room) in the second room. A Family Room can accommodate up to 6 people in total plus an infant.
Vista Suite
Offering premium and luxurious views out to the west sector of the island and the Whitsundays, the contemporary Vista Suite is embellished with relaxed colour tones and features a separate main bedroom with a luxurious king-size bed, flat screen TV, sofa lounge and sliding door opening onto a balcony. A separate living space featuring a sitting and lounge area, dining table and chairs, fully equipped modern kitchen and complete with surrounding floor to ceiling windows opening out onto a generous balcony with exceptional outdoor furniture. Spanning an area of 60sqm this suite is perfect for young families, or those who enjoy a little extra space. The spacious marbled bathroom contains a walk–in shower, separate bath and is complete with our Australian–made eco–friendly amenities. The Vista Suite features complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, pay movies and a range of additional TV channels are also available for your enjoyment.

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is ideally located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsundays Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Following an extensive $140 million redevelopment in 2018-2019, our stylish and tranquil island resort offers a range of refurbished spacious and modern rooms and suites which include a choice of interconnecting rooms for families and special access rooms, subject to availability at time of request.
Daydream Island is home to three restaurants; Graze – a modern buffet restaurant complete with live cooking stations and a range of international cuisines, Infinity – a premium Asian Fusion dining experience with expansive views of the Whitsunday Islands, and Ink stone Kitchen & Bar – inspired Modern Australian restaurant offering the best in steak and seafood. While each restaurant has its own unique cuisine and style, they all share the relaxed dining atmosphere synonymous with our island.
Along with the three restaurants there are also three bars across the island; Tonic Bar – spanning indoors from the Atrium out towards Living Reef, Tonic Bar is the island’s speciality Gin Bar offering a great place to meet or relax and enjoy the atmosphere, Barefoot Bar – centrally located amongst the lush gardens by the pool landscape. With our expanded food and beverage outlets we offer our guests a plethora of options catering to their every need.
Guests can dive into a snorkelling adventure at any time of the day or explore the island & surrounding Great Barrier Reef Marine Park by helicopter, sailboat or jet ski. Daydream Island Resort has activities for all ages with swimming pools, coral beaches, rainforest walk, fully equipped gym facilities and unlimited access to non-motorised water activities including kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and sailing. Our Tour Desk can arrange for half-day or full day tours of the Great Barrier Reef, the famous Whitehaven Beach and other nearby attractions.
Daydream Island offers a revitalised pool landscape that sweeps through the tropical gardens across the resort allowing guests to swim and enjoy unparalleled views across the Whitsundays Great Barrier Reef. The swimming hub is complemented by the poolside Barefoot Bar, inclusive of a new dining concept serving gourmet burgers, sliders, pork ribs and chicken wings with fresh smoothies, milkshakes, wine, beer and tropical cocktails.
The Living Reef is the main centrepiece of the island which is a free form coral lagoon wrapping 200m around the central building and holding over 1.5 million litres of water. The Living Reef is home to over 100 species of marine fish, over 80 species of coral and a variety of invertebrates such as starfish, sea cucumbers and crabs.
Guests will have the option to join our team of resident marine biologists taking part in a guided fish feed tours, hand feeding baby stingrays or taking part with guided snorkelling adventures within the living reef.
Our new underwater observatory offers a unique aspect of the Living Reef which is 4 metres below the water’s surface where you can watch the marine life in action or take memorable photos of family and friends snorkelling.
The Living Reef further cements Daydream Island’s commitment as being eco-friendly whilst providing a strong educational program on the protection and conservation of the area’s native coral and marine life.
The Kid’s Club is a haven for children with an exciting range of activities on offer each day. Kids will have the chance to become eco-warriors at our Kids Club as they explore and learn about the Living Reef while playing and feeding the animals who call it home.
