New Advertising Campaigns With Australia and Beyond Holidays

Since the beginning of the pandemic we have seen a very positive response to our domestic wholesale products from our Australian travel agents. AABH is committed to selling through our travel agent partners and we regularly promote them via our Find an Agent page on our website. In March we begin a major campaign with Travel Daily in Australia to recruit more travel agents with a new video highlighting the benefits of working with Australia and Beyond Holidays In addition to this advertising we will also kick off a number of campaigns featuring new product and destinations in Australia. If you would like to become an AABH agent   complete the form and we will be in touch. If you are a supplier and would like your products highlighted in any of our upcoming campaigns please let us know by emailing us at

Optimistic outlook for both domestic and international travel

With the roll out of the vaccine in Australia we expect to see more consistency with Australian domestic borders which will give consumers confidence to book and travel. Qantas has announced that it expects that widespread international travel will resume towards the end of October in line with the rollout of the vaccine in Australia. Once our borders re open internationally we are expecting a strong level of booking especially over the traditional Chinese New Year period and it will be important to begin planning especially for groups.

Capacity continues to be constrained

Domestic travel intention and demand continues to be strong. Many traditional school holiday periods are fully booked or filling up fast, especially for Iconic and high value destinations. There has been strong demand for the Whitsundays, Qld outback journeys, Rail Journeys, Northern Territory and NSW north and South Coast. Some destinations are full right through 2021. It is important to get in early for some destinations. Border closures in states like QLD have led to reduction in capacity many properties are not back online or operating at full capacity. Rental cars are in high demand in some areas as some operators have reduced their fleets. The overall message here is to get in early.

 Safari’s In The Northern Territory

Sab Lord has spent over 25 years in and around the Northern Territory and Western Australia leading specialised tours throughout the Kimberley, Kakadu and Arnhem Land. In the 1950s his father ran a crocodile and buffalo hunting operation at Munmalary – the station is now contained in World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. His in-depth knowledge of the flora, fauna and history, his unique character, as well as his personal links with the traditional Aboriginal owners established during that time, ensure your private touring experience will never be forgotten. Thanks to his unique and passionate outback style, Sab is in extremely high demand for private luxury touring.

Three Iconic Must do Adventures in Tasmania

Port Arthur Historic Site

Let us organise your visit to Port Arthur. This is an Iconic must do activity from Hobart

Port Arthur Historic Site is a 90-minute drive from Hobart, and the journey offers some of the best sightseeing in Tasmania. The Arthur Highway winds through lush farmland and forest, inviting beaches and the Tasman Peninsula’s famously scenic coastline. Allow enough time to stop along the way and explore places like the Tesselated Pavement at Eaglehawk Neck, and dramatic geological features such as the Blowhole, Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.

UNDERWORLD: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties
Descend into Sydney’s seedy underworld in our new photographic exhibition featuring a selection of intriguing criminal portraits of police suspects from the 1920s. These candid and compelling mugshots reveal the dark side of The Roaring Twenties.

Over 100 captivating images of suspects taken by NSW Police between 1920 and 1930, reproduced from the original glass negatives, will be on display in the exhibition. Known to police as ‘Special’ photographs they are unexpectedly raw and intriguing portraits of people in custody unlike any found elsewhere in the world.

UNDERWORLD: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties will be on display at the Port Arthur Asylum until Friday 30 May. The exhibition is open daily from 11:00am to 4:00pm and is free of charge for Port Arthur Historic Site ticket holders. All entry tickets must be booked in advance online at or by phoning 1800 659 101.

Wineglass Bay from the water

Wineglass Bay Cruises is a 4½ hour cruise of the waterways surrounding Freycinet National Park from Coles Bay to Wineglass Bay on Tasmania’s East Coast.
Cruise the spectacular coastline of Freycinet National Park from Coles Bay to Wineglass Bay. Be enthralled by the stunning granite coastline, including the dramatic pink peaks of the Hazards range.

Discover a coast dotted with sparkling white sand beaches, including Cooks and Bryans beaches, only accessible by water or a full day bushwalk. Explore the inner passage of remote Schouten Island, home to little penguins and short tailed shearwaters, before heading into the Tasman Sea towards Wineglass Bay. Look out for various hidden sea caves, blowholes and waterfalls amongst the sheer granite cliffs.

Take in the sheer beauty of Wineglass Bay from the rarely seen perspective of the water, a shimmering crescent of white sand fringes spilling into glass turquoise waters.

Uncover the rich history of the region, including aboriginal heritage and tales of early explorers and entrepreneurs.

Bruny Island Cruise

Bruny Island Cruises is an award-winning 3 Hour Wilderness Cruise exploring the rugged coastline of Bruny Island in southern Tasmania.

Join in the search for the abundant coastal wildlife such as seals, dolphins, migrating whales and sea birds. The highly trained interpretive guides love what they do – they work hard to ensure that the experience is fun, enjoyable, entertaining and informative.

The custom-built yellow boats are ideal for viewing the spectacular coastline and wildlife of Bruny Island. Each vessel holds a maximum of 43 guests. Covered open-air tiered seating means an excellent all-round view and connection with the environment.
